Former Bauhaus leader Peter Murphy continues to tease his forthcoming album Ninth with pre-release tracks, today premiering a fifth song — another rocking number, “Seesaw Sway” — off the 11-track record via the Los Angeles Times’ Pop & Hiss blog. The paper also features an interview with Murphy, who proclaims, “I’m not ashamed to claim that I’m the last and only star. I totally believe that. That’s how I live my life. People should witness it while I’m still gorgeous enough.”
You can read the interview with Murphy — pictured above shooting the video for Ninth single “I Spit Roses” — here, and you can check out four previously released cuts from the new album — “Memory Go,” “Velocity Bird,” “The Prince & The Old Lady Shade” and “I Spit Roses” — here. Ninth arrives in the U.K. on June 6 and in the U.S. on June 7.
