Stream: Jane’s Addiction, ‘End to the Lies,’ off Dave Sitek-produced ‘Great Escape Artist’

Jane's Addiction

With Jane’s Addiction in South America for this weekend’s inaugural Lollapalooza Chile, frontman Perry Farrell took to the airwaves this week to debut “End to the Lies,” the first track to be heard off the band’s forthcoming album The Great Escape Artist. The song, which was taped off Chilean radio station Radio Futuro 88.9’s La Ley del Rock, can be streamed in its entirety below (via JanesAddiction.org). It’s the first taste of the band’s fourth studio album, which is produced by and features the bass playing of TV on the Radio’s Dave Sitek. The album is expected sometime this summer.

  2. Ah, great stuff!!!!!! Good to have them back again!

  3. That there is some of the worst sounding crap to ever be streamed across the internet. Even more horrible than Strays…

  4. I couldn’t agree more Paul…they have lost their magic….lost it long ago…after Ritual de lo Habitual. Strays is horrid, this is worse.

  5. They should have never reunited. It’s sad, really.

  6. Interesting how opinion is divided. Personally, I think this is a very weak, bog standard rock song. Listen to side 2 of “Ritual De Lo Habitual” and compare with that. The wistful, exotic beauty is gone…and as Clive says, the magic with it. A very poor return from a band who have become MTV and celebrity/reality TV culture fodder. I think I’ll go and listen to “Three Days” and have a little cry.
