This week’s episode of the Chicago-based syndicated radio show “Sound Opinions” — hosted by music critics Greg Kot and Jim DeRogatis, and billed as “the world’s only rock ‘n’ roll talk show” — features an interview with and performance by the reunited Scottish indie-pop outfit The Vaselines, which the show’s producers are teasing with video of three live-in-the-studio performances.
Above, you check check out the band playing “I Hate the ’80s,” the first single off last year’s comeback album Sex With an X, while, below, you can watch clips of “Such a Fool,” also off Sex With an X, and “Slushy,” off 1989’s Dum-Dum. The show premieres today and runs throughout the weekend on public radio stations across the country; by Monday, it will be available here to stream online or download as a podcast.
