Echo & The Bunnymen unveil North American ‘Crocodiles,’ ‘Heaven Up Here’ tour dates

Echo & The Bunnymen

As promised earlier this month, Echo & The Bunnymen today announced a 10-date North American tour this May that will find the U.K. rockers performing their beloved first two albums — 1980’s Crocodiles and 1981’s Heaven Up Here — back-to-back and in their entirety each night.

The Bunnymen, who have performed their 1984 album Ocean Rain live in recent years, played Crocodiles and Heaven Up Here back-to-back on a short run of U.K. dates last month. Now they’ll bring that show to North America for a short run of dates, mainly hitting the East and West Coasts, beginning May 9 in Boston and wrapping up May 22 in Anaheim, Calif. — with a lone Canadian date set for May 16 in Toronto.

UPDATE 2/18/11: Three more dates added in Georgia, Texas.

  1. Jason in Portland

Seriously? No Pacific Northwest dates? This is the second time they skipped Seattle/Portland. Way to alienate your fans, Bunnymen.

  2. Andrew Gleason

Atlanta? Nashville? There are fans down in the SE :P

  3. Artis Falkner

C’mon Bunnymen, it’s nearly as rainy as Liverpool up here in Seattle and Portland!

  4. OH MY, I will get to hear “Stars Are Stars” live–I’m VERY excited about that!!!!

  5. I agree. Why are all of the good bands ignoring the Northwestern US nowadays? The Bunnymen need to come to Portland.

  6. THANK YOU FOR THE ATLANTA DATE! Does anyone know if the tickets from the previously cancelled show will be honoured at this show?? HELP!

  7. Atlanta? Really? Perhaps a side trip to NC?

  8. While disappointed E&B are skipping the NW, the fact of the matter is there are a ridiculous number of excellent and young talent in the NW. So, it’s not like we are really missing anything with E&B not swinging through 20 years after the fact.
