As regular readers no doubt know, each Sunday night, we post the playlist for “Dark Wave,” the weekly “darker side of alternative” show on Sirius XM satellite radio’s classic-alt station 1st Wave. Well, this Sunday, expect a hugely expanded edition: In honor of Halloween, the station will stretch “Dark Wave” to 12 full hours, a veritable “goth-a-thon” promising “darker classic alternative music from artists like The Cure, Depeche Mode, Bauhaus, Joy Division, Siouxsie and the Banshees and more.” This Sunday’s show runs from 3 p.m. to 3 a.m. Eastern and noon to midnight Pacific.
Hey…I’m not surprised that their playlist is decided ahead of time. I just would love to hear “Something Wicked This Way Come” by Siouxsie & the Banshees tonight is all.
