Industrial-rock/performance-art pioneer Throbbing Gristle has added one more New York date to its short Coachella-centric American tour later this month — the band’s first U.S. performances since May 1981.
The group, which reunited in 2004 after a 23-year split, is performing a Sunday set at the Coachella Music and Arts Festival in Indio, Calif.
Prior to the festival, Throbbing Gristle will play two New York gigs (the band’s first-ever in the Big Apple), including the just-added April 17 concert at Le Poisson Rouge. After Coachella, the band will perform in Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles and again in New York.
