Former Flesh for Lulu frontman Nick Marsh next week is slated to reissue his self-released 2006 solo debut — the 11-track A Universe Between Us — in the U.K., and is relaunching the album with a pair of just-released music videos and a special record-release concert Sunday night in London.
The disc, which features brand-new cover art but is otherwise the same as the original 2006 edition, is the first release by Bellissima Records, the new record label started by Marsh and his partner, ex-Miranda Sex Garden leader Katharine Blake, who also produced the album and lends vocals and strings to Marsh’s songs.
In advance of the disc’s re-release on Monday, Marsh last month issued the double-A side digital single “Destiny Angel”/”Don’t Give Up On Me,” and this week released music videos for each of the tracks — which, musically, are each a far cry from Flesh for Lulu’s ’80s pop-goth sounds (see the videos below). Marsh is also planning a special album-launch concert Sunday night at London’s Ship Of Fools Club at Bar & Co. Temple Pier.
