Reunited British post-punk/New Wave act Modern English embarks on a second round of North American dates this weekend in support of its just-released Blister EP, a download-only release featuring the title track, off this year’s Soundtrack, plus a non-album cut and two demos.
The band — original members Robbie Grey (vocals), Gary McDowell (guitar), Mick Conroy (bass) and Stephen Walker (keyboards), plus longtime guitarist Steven Walker and drummer Ric Chandler — will play eight dates this month, mainly along the West Coast of the U.S. and Canada, beginning Saturday in Sausalito, Calif., and wrapping up at the Jack’s 5th Show radio festival, alongside The Cult and The Fixx, in Irvine, Calif., on Sept. 18. The new round of dates follows a short tour of the eastern U.S. in July.
