Section 25 releasing ‘Retrofit,’ remix CD finished before Larry Cassidy’s death

The surviving members of Factory Records post-punk outfit Section 25 next month will release Retrofit, a new remix disc — completed before the untimely death last February of frontman and co-founder Larry Cassidy — that features nine of the band’s most well-known tracks “remade and remodeled using new technology.”

Due out Sept. 13 in the U.K. on LTM Recordings, the 11-track collection also features a brand-new song, “Uberhymn,” as well as “Another Hilltop,” a new remix of the band’s best-known single — 1984’s Bernard Sumner-produced “Looking From a Hilltop” — by former New Order bandmate Stephen Morris (see full tracklist below).

The band has opted to continue touring following Cassidy’s death, and currently has a smattering of live dates, mostly in the U.K., scheduled between September and December.
