The folks at Sub Pop Records are giving away a free mp3 download of “Sex With an X,” the title track and first single from The Vaselines’ forthcoming album — only the second ever from the reunited Scottish indie-pop duo. The single, backed by the non-album cut “Roaster,” will be released on 7-inch Aug. 24. The album itself is due Sept. 14, and the first 200 pre-orders will come with a bonus 7-inch featuring demos of “White Chapel” and “Picked a Cherry” recorded by Teenage Fanclub’s Norman Blake.
