The ever-enigmatic Peter Murphy launched this summer’s “Dirty Dirt Tour” in Tel Aviv, Israel earlier this week — after the original opening date in Paris was scrubbed — and delivered a set deep in solo favorites and Bauhaus songs, as well as covers of songs by Nine Inch Nails, Joy Division and David Bowie.
On his Facebook page, Murphy writes that “the set is crackling” and that the “overall vibe” is “Elvis with safety pins and emerald green wings is in the building.” Not entirely sure what that means, but you can watch, in the clip above, as Murphy performs Bauhaus’ “All We Ever Wanted Was Everything” at the Tel Aviv show, and below, we’ve got a clip of “She’s In Parties” from the same concert (although the audio/video isn’t as good).

I would’ve smacked the off key audience member who thought it was ok to sing along! Just saying!
I thibnk Brendan Perry must have infiltrated the audience. I could have swore I heard him singing in the background. ;-)
