Today we commemorate the 52nd birthday of Sonic Youth singer/guitarist Thurston Moore, a man who’s no longer all that youthful, but still manages to bring the noise in a serious way. To demonstrate, here’s a great clip of the band ripping through its iconic 1988 single “Teen Age Riot” last year on the U.K. talk show “Later… With Jools Holland.”
