L.A. punk vets Social Distortion — currently in the midst of their first-ever South American tour — today announced initial dates for a summer U.S. trek that includes a slot at the Lollapalooza festival in Chicago’s Grant Park.
The band unveiled seven East Coast shows leading up to its Aug. 7 performance at Lollapalooza, beginning July 27 in Poughkeepsie, NY, through Aug. 4 in Lancaster, Pa. Dan Sartain and The Action Design will open the concerts.
Although Social D still hasn’t announced who will replace drummer Adam “Atom” Willard, who left the band last month, fan site SxDx.com reports that Scott Reeder of Fu Manchu is filling in at least for the South American dates.
UPDATE 4/13/10: Six more dates added.
