RELEASES: In the Flat Field: Omnibus Edition, Mask: Omnibus Edition
BACKSTORY: The new Beggars Archive series issues multidisc Omnibus Editions of Bauhaus’ first two LPs. The In the Flat Field set features the 1980 debut, plus a second disc featuring singles, B-sides and more. Released in 1981, the sophomore effort Mask is expanded into a three-disc set, including the original album, a second disc of singles and B-sides, and a third CD featuring a live show recorded in 1981.

RELEASES: Legendary Hearts, New Sensations
BACKSTORY: The Velvet Underground star’s 1983 and 1984 solo albums return to CD in the U.S. for the first time in more than a decade with these reissues from Iconoclassic Records. There are no bonus tracks, but the albums are digitally remastered from the original master tapes.

BACKSTORY: Originally released in 1983 as Chomp, this now-retitled reissue features the album’s original 12 tracks, plus four bonus cuts, including the original 7-inch mix of “Crazy” — which R.E.M. covered for the B-side of “Driver 8″ — as well as the band’s own mixes of “Yo-Yo” and “Gyrate” and the 1982 single “Four Minutes.”

BACKSTORY: The former Yaz singer is commemorated on this new three-decade-spanning, 20-track best-of CD, that, in a deluxe edition, comes paired with a second disc that finds Moyet re-recording 11 favorite songs from her back catalog with her current touring band, including such fan faves as Yaz’s “Situation.”

BACKSTORY: Following last month’s expanded reissue of debut Tell God I’m Here, the second album from the British indie-pop act gets the reissue treatment, too. It’s not a double-disc set, but there are a pair of bonus tracks: “Saturday’s Train” and “The Secret of Life,” which were B-sides to 1989’s “Big Sky” single.
