U2 took a short break from the North American leg of its 360° Tour to return to the “Saturday Night Live” stage last night, performing three songs for broadcast and a fourth for the audience after the Megan Fox-hosted show finished taping. For diehard fans, the highlight had to have been the as-the-credits-roll run through “Ultraviolet (Light My Way),” the Achtung Baby favorite that the band resurrected for its current trek for the first time since the 1992-’93 ZOO TV/Zooropa tours. (Check out Bono’s fancy laser suit in that clip, shown above.)
Also played: “Breathe” and “Moment of Surrender” off No Line On the Horizon, and, after the show, Joshua Tree megahit “With Or Without You.”
