Noise-rock legends Sonic Youth this morning unfurled the itinerary for their summer tour of the U.S. in support of forthcoming LP The Eternal, which drops June 8 via Matador Records.
The 21-date trek opens June 28 in Chicago and wraps Aug. 2 in Oakland, Calif.
According to the band, tickets for most of the shows will go on sale Saturday, although fans who pre-ordered The Eternal through Matador’s Buy Early Get Now program will have access to a pre-sale beginning Thursday.
Speaking of the Buy Early Get Now offer, beginning today, fans can sign up online rather than having to go to a participating bricks-and-mortar record store.
