The live album recorded at Galaxie 500’s final European show — Dec. 1, 1990 in Copenhagen — will be reissued in a special 2LP vinyl edition for Record Store Day, with its nine songs stretched over three sides and a special etching filling out the fourth side of the vinyl.
This is the dream pop act’s first release of Copenhagen on vinyl, and it will be available at participating retailers in both the U.S. and the U.K. on Record Store Day. It also features new cover artwork. The etching on Side 4 of the vinyl is by tattoo artist Matt Crocker, according to the product description.
Now in its 12th year, Record Store Day falls on April 18 June 20 (delayed by coronavirus) this year. Head over to the recordstoreday.com and recordstoreday.co.uk websites to see full lists of exclusive, limited-run and “RSD First” releases along with participating record stores in the U.S. and the U.K., respectively.
