The Violent Femmes have got that co-headlining thing down cold. After two summers of sharing the bill with the Echo & The Bunnymen, the Femmes are heading out this summer first with X, on a run of previously announced dates, to be followed by a run of shows with piano man Ben Folds.
The just-announced 14-date U.S. tour with Folds opens July 28 in Connecticut and hits the East Coast and into the Midwest with dates through a Kansas City stop on Aug. 16. Tickets go on sale Friday.
