Dead Can Dance — led by co-founders and mainstays Brendan Perry and Lisa Gerrard — today offered up the first taste of their upcoming ninth studio Dionysus in the form of “The Mountain,” the opening of the forthcoming record’s second act. Stream the full track below.
The new album — the much-anticipated follow-up to Dead Can Dance’s 2012 reunion effort Anastasis, which was the group’s first record in 16 years — is due out Nov. 2 in digital, CD and vinyl formats, plus a deluxe hardback book that includes the album on translucent purple vinyl and CD.
All are now available for pre-order.
