Midge Ure will revisit the music of his band Ultravox, as well as his own solo catalog, with a new album called Orchestrated that will feature a dozen re-recordings of some of his best-known songs, including “Dancing with Tears in My Eyes” and “Vienna.”
The album is due out Dec. 1, and can be pre-ordered now via Ure’s website.
The album is a collaboration with Ty Unwin and includes “rich, lush, filmic soundscape versions” of Ure solo songs and Ultravox classics, including “Death in the Afternoon,” “Reap the Wild Wind,” “Man of Two Worlds,” “The Voice” and “Breathe” — plus a new song, “Ordinary Man.”
Below, see Ure discuss the project in a short video clip, and check out the tracklist.

Ty Unwin is legit, this could be pretty good stuff.
I’m intrigued, these types of projects have no in between, they’re either brilliant or rubbish. Hope it’s not the latter. Sure wish Ultravox would put out another album though, I loved their 2012 reunion album.
I wasn’t at all impressed by Visage’s Orchestral. Hopefully, Midge Ure’s Orchestrated will be a lot better.
Pah ! I want the original Ultravox ! back with John Foxx.
