The Oakland, Calif.-based label Sell the Heart Records has just released a two-part, 21-song collection of Fugazi covers by California indie acts including No Knife, Warsaw, Great Apes, theSTART, Long Knifes, Identical Homes, My Last Line and more.
While the collection — Everybody Wants Somewhere: A Tribute to Fugazi Volumes I and II — is streaming on Bandcamp (you can listen below), the label says all profits from the sale of the release both digitally and in two different vinyl variations will be donated to San Francisco nonprofit Taking It To The Streets, which helps empower homeless youth through job training, housing and more.
Get an earful of some great covers of songs by the legendary post-hardcore band — some more re-imagined than others — below, and head over to Bandcamp to buy the album and help a good cause.
