Tears For Fears continue to whet fans’ appetites for their upcoming 30th anniversary deluxe box set dedicated to landmark debut album The Hurting, this time posting online the band’s previously unreleased, four-song session recorded for the legendary BBC radio DJ and all-around tastemaker John Peel on Sept. 1, 1982.
As our friends at Super Deluxe Edition note, the four-song set — “Ideas as Opiates,” “Suffer the Children,” “The Prisoner” and “The Hurting” — is exclusive to the Live Sessions CD that will be included on the 3CD/DVD deluxe box set version of The Hurting reissue, due out Oct. 15 in multiple formats.
Stream that Peel Session below, and check out the full tracklist for The Hurting box set.
