  1. Killer show, Matt. Alive in ’85 all over again!

“Sinking” segued perfectly into “I Wish You Were Here.” And funny to hear that we share the same amazement about “Cut the Crap” making the, ahem, cut. Still waiting for someone to defend that pick.

And “Bastards of Young”…to think that the good people of Toronto and beyond will almost certainly be hearing it live this weekend–and then lucky you in Denver next month–is beyond awesome!

One surprise from your show for me, though, was that sax near the end of “The Whole of the Moon”! I had totally forgotten about that, which shows how long it had been since I last heard it. Seems like there were a fair number of ’80s songs that had those “Where the hell did that come from?!” sax moments! Wouldn’t consider “…Moon” one of those offenders, though, because it is truly a gem of a song. And then INXS, the Furs, the Beat (of course), and others (Duran Duran “Rio” is an obvious one)knew how to use the sax–and use it well.
