Blondie will tour the U.S. this September and October with special guest X in tow, an 18-date trek dubbed the “No Principals Tour” that will include, with the purchase of each ticket, downloads of five exclusive new songs off Debbie Harry and Co.’s forthcoming 10th studio album, which is expected to be released later this year.
The tour opens Sept. 5 in Hampton Beach, NH, and runs through Oct. 4 in New York City (see full dates below); all tickets go on sale this Friday, except for the bands’ appearances at Riot Fest in Chicago, which already is on sale; the Dallas concert, which is free with admission to the Texas State Fair; and the Nashville concert, which goes on sale July 12.
Fans who buy tickets to see Blondie – featuring original members Harry, Clem Burke and Chris Stein, plus newer members Leigh Foxx, Tommy Kessler and Matt Katz-Bohen – will be able to download the new songs “Make A Way,” “Drag You Around,” “Can’t Stop Wanting,” “A Rose By Any Name” and “I Screwed Up” off the as-yet-untitled follow-up to 2011’s Panic of Girls.

Strange track of shows…no NYC show? Very odd venues.
Oct. 4: Roseland Ballroom, New York, NY
@DJ, Wave, The last gig is at the Roseland Ballroom, in New York,NY.
I don’t want any downloads. I just want to pick up the forthcoming album, PRONTO! They’ve got about 40 tracks ready to be released since 2010, so this is just one of many more. I just hope (after the PANIC OF GIRLS multiple editions fiasco)we get one official LP w/ virtually the same tracks/sequencing, sans a possible lone Japanese import track. The songs missing from the 2011 official album were better than many of the songs on it. Blondie, take me away!
No Love for X, one of the best live bands of their era, if not all time ! Man, I was rocking out to The New World this morning on my way to work.
“More Fun” is a great record! I’d say “Under the Big Black Sun” is even better… but it depends on the day!
I totally agree with Alex about X. Great old school early punk. It was weird seeing them open for New Order at the Hollywood Bowl though. 808 State, X & New Order. X just didn’t fit.
808, NO and X…when the fuck was this !!!? I have basically everything ever made by 808 and NO and I love X (as stated above). Man, I shouldn’t have moved from SoCal. sniff sniff
July 26, 1993.
New Order at the Hollywood Bowl, with support from X & 808 State.

I might just go see this for X. Like Blondie too, but X would be cooler. But the fucking State Fair in Dallas? I don’t know if it’s worth being around all them cowboys and creeps.
Depressing to see X touring with Blondie. No respect for Harry and the others after the RnR Hall controversy.
you sure X are on all of the dates? am considering the atlantic city show but the golden nugget website has no mention of X, only Blondie. not all of the listings on ticketmaster include X.
The press release from Blondie (where these dates originally came from) made no mention of X only playing some dates.
And this is posted on X’s Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=10151645872237020&id=37877887019
very cool. it’s a great double bill – any venue not actively promoting both bands is doing a disservice to everyone involved.
thanks for the info!
