For this week’s installment of Vintage Video, we present an exceedingly rare — on YouTube, anyway — ’80s-era concert from Love and Rockets, filmed at the band’s Oct. 15, 1987, headlining date at London’s Town & Country Club. The 70-minute concert took place just a month after the release of the band’s third album, Earth Sun Moon. Check out full video below via Roy Oh; it’s rough quality for sure, but worth it for the rarity of the whole thing.

A very underestimated 3 piece! Amazing!
I actually saw this tour, November 1987, Capital Theater, Port Chester, NY. Jane’s Addiction opened.
So Jealous! Both bands in their prime in my opinion. I didn’t get to see LAR until 89.
I saw the same tour in Florida. Great show. Didn’t know Jane’s Addiction before that night, but they blew everyone away.
Exactly! I saw this tour in Portland, and as an unfamiliar act Jane’s blew EVRERYONE’S minds. That’s still one of the most intense performances I’ve ever seen. Love and Rockets was entertaining, but man, Jane’s in those days…. Insane.
This is damn good. Thanks for the post & to Roy Oh!
Has anyone got the red lorry yellow lorry footage as well?
