Fresh off the first of the band’s two appearances at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival this weekend, New Order has begun rolling out U.S. tour dates in late July — including shows in Austin, Brooklyn, Philadelphia and Boston — leading up to the band’s appearance at the Lollapalooza festival in Chicago.
The band has yet to make an official announcement, but ticketing and venue sites confirm New Order will play at least five U.S. concerts in late July, hitting Austin, Texas, Brooklyn, N.Y., Philadelphia, Columbia, Md., and Boston with opener Holy Ghost! between July 24 and July 31. The band plays both Lollapalooza and the Osheaga Festival in Montreal the weekend of Aug. 2-4.
It’s not clear how many U.S. dates New Order has planned this summer.
UPDATE: New Order has now announced the tour, adding one more date, in Atlanta, to the shows we reported earlier today.

I wish, just once, that someone good would decide to visit Columbus, Ohio. We have 50,000 people at OSU, how could they not sell out? but they will skip Ohio again just like everyone else does.
check out the Newport’s schedule…
I see quite a few really good bands coming through.
04.17 The Black Angels
05.11 Black Rebel Motorcycle Club
05.15 Foals with Surfer Blood, blondfire
06.12 Japandroids
Actually C-Bus does quite well in the big scheme of things (concert wise) – living here, I know this is true. Some UK bands still fall victim to the coasts/Chicago schedule… NO is one of those, see also Suede, Pulp and Blur. (although Blur have played Ohio a few times)
Hoping for an Atlanta date, but not holding my breath since they last came here in ’89…
Me too on Atlanta. Heck – Nashville would be close enough.
Make that a third for Atlanta! FOr now, looking up airfare to Philadelphia and Boston…
Without Peter Hook?
No Hookie. Legal battle going on.
Please include a stop in Salt Lake City, if not there then Vegas or Denver.
Columbus would sell-out in under an hour if they did a weekend show, two hours for a weeknight. Huge college crowd and high number of college educated adults who earned their degrees in the late 80’s and 90’s. Plus CD 102.5 is one of the best alternative radio stations in the country. People will turnout.
How can they not come to Atlanta? I’ve got Blue Monday playing in my head now!!!
No Dallas?
Come on……
I know Austin is great and all… but show us a little love!
South Florida? We’d love to have New Order visit our sunny warm state!!! Please!
Atlanta! Chastain….July 21st. Whoo-hoo!
Without Peter, who gave the band their classic sound, they should be called New, New Order.
Guys, take a trip. I flew to Vegas to see them, from Ottawa. I would consider driving to Philly to see them again, third time in one year! (Toronto, Las Vegas,…). Then I’ll see them at Osheaga which would make four times in a calendar year.
Please add Seattle! We adore you up here!
Holy shit. Atlanta. Holy Shit. Too bad Chastain is a shitty venue. I’ll take it, though. Tabernacle would be the better option.
Wow. Can’t wait.
@Greg New Order just did a show in Vegas on April 10th at the Cosmopolitan Of Las Vegas.
Once again another concert I cannot go see since the Atlanta date is a Sunday night and I have to get up early the next morning and I’m not burning a vacation day.
Love the promo shot used by this Philly music blog :)
