The Jesus and Mary Chain’s classic 1985 debut album Psychocandy will be reissued for Record Store Day this year in a new, limited-edition “paint splatter” vinyl pressing packaged with a reproduction of an early gig poster, the band announced today on its Facebook page. It’s not yet known if this is a U.K.-only release, but it will be limited to 1,000 copies.
This year’s Record Store Day falls on April 20, and while the full list of exclusive releases has not yet been posted, we do so far know of special titles coming from Echo & The Bunnymen, Hüsker Dü, Robyn Hitchcock, Paul Weller, Wire and Duran Duran — and, possibly, The Glove (see links below).
PREVIOUSLY ON SLICING UP EYEBALLS

Sounds great, but at what price?
i think most of those bands you listed are UK exclusives. i work at a record store and we’ve made all of our pre-orders for RSD. no jesus & mary chain in the US as far as i know.
