Johnny Marr already let the cat out of the bag, but New Order today confirmed it will play two Coachella warm-up concerts with the ex-Smiths guitarist in Las Vegas and Santa Barbara, Calif. — and announced they’ll play “more U.S. dates later in the year.”
The band also confirmed that it will play two South American concerts, in Peru and Colombia, in April ahead of its appearance at the two-weekend Coachella festival.
New Order played a short run of U.S. dates last fall, and had hinted at a return visit in 2013.
New Order tour dates:
SOUTH AMERICA
April 5: Explanada Sur Del Monumental, Lima, Peru
April 7: Festival Estéreo Picnic, Bogota, Colombia
UNITED STATES
April 11: The Cosmopolitan, Las Vegas, NV
April 13: Coachella, Indio, CA
April 18: Santa Barbara Bowl, Santa Barbara, CA
April 20: Coachella, Indio, CA

It’s not New Order without Hooky!
Hooky left, get over it…

I post with mad love for the original poster of this in the neworderonline.com forums.
This is the funniest video I’ve seen in a while, and sums up the NO situation perfectly IMO.
Hooky was pushed out. Regardless, it’s not New Order, at least to us TRUE New Order fans!
Right, because you’re not a true fan of New Order if your sick of Hooky’s constant buzz kill.
The Chicago show last year was really great!
Yes, Chicago was awesome! The Light is supposed to tour the U.S. in Sept.
ha! New Order ought to ask The Light to open for them!
Hopefully they will play more than 7 cities next time. New Order is one of those bands that uses the term ‘tour’ quite loosely. 7 or 8 cities is not a ‘tour’, a ‘tour’ is 25 – 30 dates across a wide berth of markets.
Am I disappointed Hook is no longer with them? Yes, of course.
Will I still go see them on tour? Yes, of course.
That being said, please come back to Chicago.
