The Godfathers announced this weekend that they will release the long-in-the-works Jukebox Fury — the reunited rockers’ first new album in 18 years — in late February or early March to coincide with the band’s upcoming support slot on a month-long, 22-date U.K. tour with punk survivors The Stranglers.
The band has not released a tracklist for its first new album since 1995′s Afterlife, but it could feature the three new tracks the band has debuted online since reunited in 2008: “Back Into the Future,” “The Outsider” and “Primitive Man.” The album cover shown above is identified on the band’s Facebook page as “prototype rough design.”
The record should come out around the time the Godfathers join the Stranglers on a lengthy tour of the U.K., opening March 1 in Edinburgh and finishing March 30 in Manchester.
