Yesterday, we noted on our Facebook page, was the 22nd anniversary of Ministry’s much-loved In Case You Didn’t Feel Like Showing Up live album — and, as one of our readers quickly pointed out, a high-quality transfer of the out-of-print VHS-only video version recently surfaced on YouTube, via uploader Telekrig, As you can see, the hour-long film — shot Feb. 22, 1990, at the Holiday Star Theatre in Merillville, Ind. — includes three more tracks than the live album, including Jello Biafra’s “Pledge of Allegiance.”
Tracklist: Ministry, “In Case You Didn’t Feel Like Showing Up (Live)”
1. “Breathe”
2. “The Missing”
3. “Deity”
4. “So What”
5. “Burning Inside”
6. “Thieves”
7. “Stigmata”
8. Jello Biafra – “The Pledge of Allegiance”
9. “The Land Of Rape And Honey”

About a year ago, I found a bit torrent of the laserdisc rip, menu and everything. I still have it on my hard drive, and I think it may still be out there.
I was at this tour back in 1990 at the ‘New’ Ritz in NYC. KMFDM opened the show. Pretty crazy to think that was 22 years ago… and Uncle Al is still alive and touring, lol…
I would have loved this show twenty-two years ago….(could not get the night off)…now, a Ministry show would be a bit too intense for me.
Ministry is boring now. Uncle Al just stands there on stage like Robert Smith and doesn’t move. All the other players are hired guns you’ve never heard of. He only plays songs from the most recent records and barely touches the pre 1992 material, certainly nothing off Twitch or even LORAH…
Modern Ministry is washed up, cooked & done. But from 1987 – 1993 Ministry were incredible.
I saw them on this tour in Cleveland. Epic and intense as it should be. I’d see them again with the 1990 line-up in a heartbeat. Not too intense for me. I’m 40 and just getting started :-)
The ultimate line up on stage. Everyone was in on this, jello, ogher, chris connely, rieflin, atkins. What an amazing show! Saw the new years show in Chicago then in joliet, il. Never to be replicated again. Yes agree, I would seek out the torrent on this.
Those were the ‘hey days’ of Industrial; 1987 – 1992 or so.
I had this video. I remember my dad walking in when Jello was goose stepping and Al was wearing the Nazi helmet and I think the “zeig heil” sample was playing. He grunted, “Classy guys…” haha.
My dad’s response to ‘Burning Inside:’ “Well this sure does make my feet itch to dance…”
Love this, thanks for posting. Saw ’em in ’95 and they rocked hard!
fuck yeah!
My buddies & I would keep this VHS handy for a quick view during our breaks from the Half Pipe Skate Sessions back in the 90’s. I ended up buying my own copy of the vhs later for a trip down memory lane. I’ve had to cd for years as well.
Also saw em’ in concert in 1999 in Grand Rapids MI. Sweet show, wish it would of been back in the early 90’s.
