With Beautiful Friction, their first album in nearly a decade, out next week, New Wave rockers The Fixx have expanded their U.S. summer tour, with dates set next week in California, a smattering of free shows around the country in August and a pair of late-summer fair dates with the J. Geils Band.
The band — featuring the reunited mid-’80s lineup of singer Cy Curnin, keyboard player Rupert Greenall, guitarist Jamie West-Oram, drummer Adam Woods and bassist Dan K. Brown — is set to play San Juan Capistrano, Redondo Beach and Los Angeles next week, then, in August, hits Oregon, Minnesota, Colorado, Illinois, Vermont and Pennsylvania.
The 11-track Beautiful Friction is due out July17 on Kirtland Records, and is preceded by the single “Anyone Else,” which you can stream here.
