The Cure’s run of summer festival appearances continues to delight the band’s longtime fans, as Robert Smith and Co. mix up their sets and trot out songs not played in decades, if ever. The latest uber-rarity to creep into The Cure’s set: the title track of 1984’s drugged-out The Top, a song not played live since that year’s tour.
The band trotted out that obscurity Friday night during its set at Sweden’s Hultsfred Festival; you can see video of it above, and the night’s full setlist below, both via Chain of Flowers. So far this summer, The Cure has performed 1982 B-side “Just One Kiss” for the first time ever, “Bananafishbones” for the first time since 1984, “Fight” for the first time since 1987 and “Cold” and “Same Deep Water As You” for the first time in a decade.
And there are still 15 dates to go this summer.

In think they’ve played SAME DEEP more recently than 10 years ago – it was included in their FESTIVAL ’05 dvd. Even still, they don’t play it nearly enough.
Be great if they played The Crow’s BURN.
actually, it isn’t :) maybe you thought from the edge of the deep green sea.
it was performed last time on trilogy concerts in 2002
The only songs they have played on this Euro tour which haven’t seen much action:
Bananafishbones
The Top
Just One Kiss
Fight
The Caterpillar was brought back last year. Dressing Up was played on many prior tours. Same Deep Water as You has been out of the set for awhile, but was a standard in 2000, and 2002.
So really, 4 songs – which is great, but most of the set is the same standards they have been playing for years. Either way, every night fans are getting a big dose of The Cure!
Either way it looks like they are breaking out these songs from the 1983 – 1987 period for the inevitable trilogy show featuring The Top/Head/KMKMKM
Just One Kiss!!!! aaaaaahhhhh
