The new album from electronic music project Soulsavers — featuring Depeche Mode frontman Dave Gahan on lead vocals — arrives next week, but Mute Records is letting fans hear the full stream of The Light the Dead See via the band’s website and the widget below. Plus, check out the short, one-minute clip posted above of Gahan talking about the record. As he notes, it wasn’t originally intended to be a full-album collaboration, but, “It was too good, it was too important.” The album arrives May 21 in the U.K. and May 22 in the U.S.

Great project for Dave. He’s finally scratching that itch to sing to “real” instruments and in the process bolstering his confidence as a lyricist and singer. Well done! I don’t get why they keep referring to Soulsavers as “electronic” though.
