Reactivated Scottish indie-pop outfit The Vaselines will return to the U.S. for the first time in two years late this summer when the band — featuring founders Eugene Kelly and Frances McKee — performs club dates in New York City and San Francisco before playing a slot at Seattle’s Bumbershoot 2012.
The band announced the trio of dates on Twitter this week; they’ll play The Bell House in Brooklyn, San Francisco’s Independent and Bumbershoot in late August and early September. No word yet on whether other shows might be added. At the moment, the group’s only are scheduled dates are two U.K. festivals and a concert in Japan this summer.
