Having just scrubbed plans for a short U.S. tour that was to have taken place this month, Echo & The Bunnymen frontman Ian McCulloch has now announced three “intimate” solo shows in Liverpool and London this May to coincide with the release this spring of the singer’s new fan-funded solo album Pro Patria Mori.
McCulloch will perform in Liverpool on May 10 and 11, and London on May 12 in support of the new album, which will be McCulloch’s first since 2003′s Slideling and his fourth overall. The Bunnymen singer had been booked to perform six U.S. concerts in March, but those shows were canceled. His management said the dates could be rescheduled for May.
Ian McCulloch tour dates:
May 10: Epstein Theatre, Liverpool, UK
May 11: Epstein Theatre, Liverpool, UK
May 12: Union Chapel, London, UK

funny how back in the day, ian or will wouldnt give anyone the time of day, wouldnt even say a word to fans who were waiting after shows to see them, one time in san diego we were waiting for ian to come out, me being a stupid kid at the time, he walked out the back stage doors, while everyone was screaming his name while getiing in the limo, he put his middle finger in his mouth, pulled it out all wet and flipped us all off, now he’s asking us to pay for his recording of this album, him and will are broke and the cure are headling leeds and reading, just like “thorn of crowns” goes…… down down down down down down down down down down down……….
i don’t think anyone is ‘broke,’ donald. come and see Will Sergeant’s art exhibition in L.A. in May. you won’t get that same treatment there. this is a proper event. http://www.facebook.com/events/#!/events/256679044421079/
