It’s been a month since we last checked in with The Cure’s unfolding summer festival plans, and we can now report three more confirmations in Ireland, Russia and Austria, and a schedule that now spreads from late May to early September — with a promise of “2 or maybe 3 more to confirm,” according to the band’s website.
The latest additions are the Maxidrom Festival in Russia, the Frequency Festival in Austria and the Electric Picnic in Ireland, bringing the total number of festival dates to 16.
Interestingly, there still are no dates in the band’s native England, and still no word yet on whether the band will make good on suggestions it will return to the U.S. this year.
See thecure.com for ticket information on each festival.

Love The Cure but never fully trust what RSx says.
RS is notoriously bad for making promises and statements about The Cure’s plans. Until you are at the show and hear the opening notes of the song, or have new music in your hand – don’t believe a word Robert says. Fans are still waiting for the promised ‘dark album’, lol.
