The reunited Stone Roses — Ian Brown, John Squire, Gary “Mani” Mounfield and Alan “Reni” Wren — will not make their rabidly anticipated live return at a trio of massive outdoor homecoming gigs in Manchester next summer, having today announced festival dates in Sweden and Denmark that will precede those sold-out shows.
The Roses today announced they will headline the Hultsfred Festival in Hultsfred, Sweden, which runs June 14-16, as well as the NorthSide Festival in Aarhus, Denmark, taking place June 15-17. The Manchester concerts are set for June 29-30 and July 1 at that city’s Heaton Park. After that, the band has festival dates booked in the U.K., Spain and Japan.
No word yet as to when or if the reunited Roses will tour the U.S.
