Reunited synthpop favorites Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark will release a 20-track live album — which you can hear a sample of below — and hardback book called History of Modern Tour: Live in Berlin this August to commemorate the group’s rapturously received comeback last year.
Due for release Aug. 8 through the band’s website, the live album was recorded Nov. 18 at the Tempodrome Berlin and features tracks from 2010’s History of Modern — OMD’s first album in 14 years — as well as classics such as “Tesla Girls,” “Electricity” and “Enola Gay.” You can sample the set by streaming “History of Modern (part I)” below.
The limited-edition release, which the group is selling for £20, also comes with a hardback book that features exclusive photos from OMD’s 2010 tour, handwritten notes by members of the band, a selection of lyrics and letters to the group from fans.
