Record Rack: A round-up of the week’s new albums, expanded reissues and/or box sets, appearing each Monday on Slicing Up Eyeballs. All releases due out this Friday unless noted.  This week’s releases include new and reissued titles from Dead Can Dance, Yazoo, OMD and The Art of Noise.

Here’s a preview of the new box set from Yazoo – the classic synthpop duo of Alison Moyet and Vince Clarke that was christened Yaz in the U.S. – that arrives this fall, a remix of the classic 1982 single “Situation” by contemporary producer Richard X. You can stream the track here.

]Yazoo – the classic synthpop duo of Alison Moyet and Vince Clarke that was christened Yaz in the U.S. – last month announced plans for a 4-disc box set collecting it two albums, plus remixes and BBC radio sessions that was to be released only on heavyweight vinyl and digital formats.  Now it’ll be released on CD, too.

Yazoo – the hugely influential synthpop duo of Alison Moyet and Vince Clarke that was christened Yaz in the U.S. – will release a 4LP vinyl box set this fall called Four Pieces that collects the group’s two albums plus a set of remixes and their two BBC radio sessions.
