For this week’s installment of “120 Minutes” Rewind, we present (most of) the episode that aired March 15, 1987 — almost exactly a year after “120 Minutes” debuted, and when it was still hosted by a rotating cast of the network’s VJs. In this case, Downtown Julie Brown, better known as the host of “Club MTV,” handled those duties.
Below, you can watch about 1 hour and 45 minutes of that episode, with some of the videos cut out due to copyright issues. What you will see includes videos by The Smithereens, Husker Du, Julian Cope, The Jazz Butcher, Love Tractor, Billy Bragg, The Del Fuegos and Frank Zappa.

God. 120, the young ones and another show I believe that was called London Calling or something like that were Sunday night rituals for me! No wonder I was always tired for Jr High and High School on Monday mornings! And the short lived Post Modern MTV.The “good” ole days!
