  1. Thanks for the Room Nine. Great selections tonight, especially Cranes, Parade Ground, and Red Lorry Yellow Lorry. Hard to pick a favorite hour this week. They all nailed it.

Would like to ask for the song “Afterimage” from the band Afterimage.

Thanks for the great music. Have a good week.

  2. Matthew Crocker

    RIP Geordie Walker

  3. Loved Dif Juz tonight! Great show Matt.
I would like to hear Eternal by Joy Division in the next couple weeks.
    Thank you.

  4. First time commenter here! I absolutely loved tonight’s show. Ending off with Peter Murphy’s cover of Hurt was the cherry on top for me. I’ve been listening to the show for over a year and I instantly fell in love with it. I do have a request for next week’s show. I highly doubt it will probably be selected, but I want to hear Total Eclipse by Klaus Nomi. I’m glad his music is finally gaining more recognition and that his discography is being discovered by more people. Keep up the great work, Matt!

  5. “Twilight of the Mortal” by Killing Joke for nxt Sunday’s show as a tribute to the late Geordie Walker

  6. Thank you Matt for playing Gang of Four and the name drop!

  7. Awesome playlists last night..
My request is killing joke in Cynthia

  8. Nice job, I heard some cuts I haven’t in a while. NiN and MC 900ft jesus were a nice treat.

  9. addictedtonoise

Please consider Medicine – “Aruca” for the next shoegaze block

  10. Loved hearing “Rain Bird” and “Watch That Grandad Go” in the first hour – excellent choices right there! I feel like I’ve requested everything I could possibly want to hear on this show so I’ll just bid you a great week. You always slay at creating your shows!

  11. Thanks for playing my request as always! Thinking about Lucretia my reflection by the Sisters of mercy for my next request! Thanks again.

    • Great music selections this week Matt! Thank you for ‘The City Sleeps’…. always loved that one. I guess this week I am feeling thankful (more than just the fact that it was Thanksgiving). I work at the Rainbow Bridge in Niagara Falls NY, and in fact was working this past Wednesday morning when a car exploded into my bridge. I was a mere 50 feet from the impact. It’s not something I’ll ever forget — and RIP to the 2 people who lost their lives. I’d like to dedicate The Pogues – Fairytale of New York to all who shaped this into a fairytale and not into a tragedy…I’m feeling blessed indeed. ❤️❤️

  12. Hey Matt,
I’d like to request one of the following in an upcoming show:
    Cranes – Shining Road
The Cure – A Foolish Arrangement
Sisters of Mercy – Driven Like the Snow
    Thank you!

  13. Can you please play
    Chapter House- inside of me
    Thanks
Probably good for your shoegaze section
It kinda reminds me of sonic youth

  14. Love the show as always. I had to buy a USB turntable to make sure I could keep up with all the great tidbits you introduce me to. Feel crushed about Geordie, such a brilliant musician. I’d request “In Cythera” or something from Murder Inc. in his honor for next week.

  15. Great show!

I will also like to give well wishes to all in regards on the sad news about Geordie. We trust you to play any requested songs and others of your choice that show his skill and distinct tone he played with on that Gibson hollow body.

    Thanks!

  16. Hugh Cornwell – Outside Tokyo

  18. Great show yet again. This one was especially request heavy and many thanks to you during this season of thanks for making Sunday nights so special and playing so many of our requests. Dif Juz into a Cocteau Twins track featuring a member who played on the Victorialand album was really cool. Thanks for playing the Birthday Party cut.

I’ll second any of the Killing Joke requests in honor of Geordie, and I’m thinking “Requiem” might be a fitting coda to a brilliant player.

Have a great week Matt, cheers!

    • Hey Matt, you probably know this but Sirius actually played “Sonny’s Burning” and not “Deep in the Woods.” No biggie, I’ll take anything from The Birthday Party. Thanks again for playing so many requests week in week out. Looking forward to this Sunday’s show!

  19. Thanks for playing Seeing Red on my birthday from my request a couple of weeks ago. Sad to hear of Geordie’s passing on my birthday. What timing!?

Pleasure and Pain – The Chameleons for the next one please!

Had a great time hanging with Mark at their show in LA and at Darker Waves.

  20. great episode – perfect warmup for Skinny Puppy tonight – I forgot about Doubting Thomas, nice play there. It’d been a long time since I last heard a Godflesh track, but that sludgy vibe is unmistakeable. Also the Birthday Party track was another reminder, as a Jesus Lizard / Scratch Acid fan, that I need to dive deeper into their catalog. As always, thanks for all the new (to me) old music!

For a future show how about KMFDM’s Naïve? It’s a bit of a weird one from them, with the gospel vibe and all that, but fun nonetheless!

  21. 900 Ft. episode.

    This week’s Darkness Award:
MC 900 Ft. Jesus, “The City Sleeps”

  22. Sad to hear of Geordie’s passing. I first started listening to Killing Joke in the 90s when a friend gave me a copy of Pandemonium. Later, another friend introduced me to a lot of their earlier material, and I found myself really liking Fire Dances. Geordie was truly a master of his craft and will be missed by many.

Lately, I’ve been fooling around in the studio for the first time in a while and jamming on some hard edged minimal grooves that made me think of Alien Sex Fiend….we hear the usual stuff pretty regularly, I Walk The Line, Zombified, etc. Maybe this coming week, something more obscure?

  23. I’m so very thankful for this show! As we head into December…I’d like to request for an upcoming show:
Galaxie 500 “Listen, the Snow is Falling”

    • And if that request doesn’t fall under the Dark Wave umbrella… An alternative Galaxie 500 request would be for their wonderful cover of “Ceremony”. Thank you!

  24. Have you considered doing a special block of Skinny Puppy songs to commemorate the end of the final SP tour next Tuesday? That day is also Ogre’s birthday, so that’s another reason to celebrate them.

  25. Thank you all for the love….

I was in the right place at the right time I guess…so thankful it was not worse.

  26. Hey Matt!

Went to see Skinny Puppy last night at the Fillmore! It was great – and there were some really wild stage theatrics as well. Some faves that they played: Deep Down Trauma Hounds, as well as Smothered Hope and Assimilate. They did not however play “Testure” – which I was sort of hoping to hear. Sooo – perhaps you can play it here? :)

    Skinny Puppy / Testure

*RIP to Geordie Walker* Was very sad to hear about that… :(

  27. p.s. If you go with the idea of doing a special block of Skinny Puppy songs for the reasons I mentioned above, and if you want to include a song from their recent work, I’d suggest “Terminal” from their final album as a good way to close out the set.

  28. That last song, Peter Murphy covering Hurt, was so wonderful. Sounded like a live performance. Do you know what show it was? Want to find where to buy a copy.

  29. Psyche out /meat beat manifesto -120 minutes version

  30. RIP Geordie…I see you played KJ this week, but I think an exception can be made next week, and how about Fairytale of NY for Shane McGowan?

  31. Spacemen 3 – Revolution
Longshot Request (Planning For Burial – Oh Pennsylvania, Your Black Clouds Hang Low)

  32. Hi, Matt! Awesome show, as always; I’m struggling to pick a favorite hour.
It’s been very sad hearing the news about Mars Williams, Geordie Walker, and Shane McGowan these past several days. Rest in peace and lots of love to all of them. <3
Looking forward to tomorrow's installment – Hope you're having a great evening! <3

  33. Let’s all go ..to the fire dances by killing joke

Is a 80s song not having a lot of airplay, that’s where darkwave comes in.

    Rip gieordie

  34. hello, if possible would love to hear the duet of Morrissey and Siouxsie “Interlude”, never see it on streaming platforms. if not a second request “The Cutting Edge” by Comsat Angels. Thanks in advance, always look forward to hearing the shows!

  35. Loved hearing the MC 900 Ft Jesus! Along those lines, how about some Tricky? They just re-issued a deluxe remastered Maxinquaye on vinyl.
