As you can see (and hear), the playlist opens with The Jam and closes with Tom Petty, and includes everything on our list except Peter Gabriel’s “Shock the Monkey” and the Thomas Dolby songs “Europa and the Pirate Twins” and “She Blinded Me with Science.”
