Depeche Mode frontman Dave Gahan recently sat down with TV’s Chris Hardwick and guest co-host April Richardson for a highly entertaining, hour-long chat that was released as an episode of Hardwick’s long-running Nerdist podcast last week.
Gahan discusses his childhood, including meeting his father for the first time, as well as his immersion in London’s late-’70s punk scene, the formation of Depeche Mode and his own dark times later in his career.

Hi my names Kim kuhl and way back before violator I had these bla k and real roses I soldand these guys sat me down in the rainbow bar and grill west hollywood ca and asked if they wanted to use one of my roses that were mostly just roses but I had some special black painted ones these guys asld me if they wanted to paint a picture or something on towerrecords building or by on santa Monica how much I would charge and if I wanted my name or any thing I was thinking to my self whatlike why are these guys talking to me like this thinking there talking about just the rose I’m thinking it’s a rose my name it’s not my rose I just rolled it in plastic you can get these roses easy they asked how much I’d charge think ING that way I said kinda bewilderd becuz I didn’t I’m violating any thing especially self and they asked me how much for the black same price isaid their 5 too then they said howabout for one painted red I said well then it’s gonna be10 I still hadn’t got what I get now becuz it’s really own special rose unique and non alike and was sole by me wondering if I’m the violator becuzs I was new to holly wood and stuff and my mom said when she interfered with school that it’s not my world so I’m wearing my own dunce cap if I spelt it right they never told me that I know of about a band or going on a album and or reselling my actual flower except for figuring it out by the violator any way uhm I been trying to reach them some how becuz I don’t believe they purposely were cheating me and it’s my rose with paint I picked that made it the way it is I seen some one whose boy friend she had buy her my black one how they she said were like leather and that’s like this red too any I. That it might be cool to be recognized and paid cuz I really appreciate they can as artists to so I m thinking should be exciting how I get to make for the selling rose think you could help me with this please
