BACKSTORY: This week sees the DVD and Blu-ray release, in the U.S., of Andrew Dominik’s documentary about the making of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds’ 2016 album Skeleton Tree following the tragic death of one of Cave’s sons. Shot in both color and black and white, the film contains peformances of each of the album’s eight songs. The 2-disc set also includes three exclusive short films by Dominik (“Boredom,” “Do You Pray?” and “Snowman”).
