The Jesus and Mary Chain today confirmed two European festival appearances this summer and fall — in Paris and Katowice, Poland — ahead of the band’s much-anticipated performances of 1985 debut Psychocandy at five U.K. dates in November.
The brothers Reid are slated to play the Off Festival in Poland on Aug. 2 and the Festival les inRocks Philips in Paris on Nov. 16, just days ahead of their Psychocandy run in the U.K. It’s not clear whether the Mary Chain will be performing that album at the festival dates or play regular sets, as the band did when it toured South America this spring.
