Classic synthpop duo Erasure — Andy Bell and Vince Clarke — today debuted the lead single from their upcoming 17th studio album, World Be Gone. The bouncy track “Love You To the Sky,” with its instantly memorable chorus, can be heard below via the band’s lyric video.
The single will be released digitally on Friday, and the 10-song album follows May 19 on Mute Records.

I really dug their last few releases and was really looking forward to this one until now. That was so syrupy I thought some Sesame Street characters were gonna’ pop out at any moment with letter ‘L’ or something. I won’t lose hope though, wasn’t thrilled with the lead off single from I Say I Say I Say but wound up loving that one.
