Perhaps now we know why The Governor has yet to re-appear on the new season of “The Walking Dead”: Actor David Morrissey, who portrays the power-mad villain on the AMC zombie series, has been busy recording the unabridged audiobook of Morrissey’s 457-page “Autobiography,” the singer revealed late Sunday via fansite True To You.
The audiobook will be released as a digital download on Dec. 5 by Penguin Classics, Morrissey’s U.K publisher. No word yet whether that also will be sold in the U.S. “Autobiography” is being published here by G.P. Putnam’s Sons, a division of Penguin, on Dec. 3.

PREVIOUSLY ON SLICING UP EYEBALLS:
- Morrissey says he’s been treated for concussion, whiplash, arm injury — doesn’t reveal why
- Morrissey’s ‘Autobiography’ to be published in the U.S. on Dec. 3 by G.P. Putnam’s Sons
- Morrissey announces he’s ‘not homosexual,’ is ‘attracted to humans’ — but ‘not many’
- Morrissey’s 480-page ‘Autobiography’ to be published Oct. 17 in Europe
- Update: Morrissey now says ‘Autobiography’ will be published in Europe, but not U.S.
that’s just absolutely brilliant!
I like the idea of Morrissey by Morrissey but why isn’t the musician reading his own book? I think it might feel more genuine.
