Having toured sporadically and released a new best-of, the reunited Soundgarden has now hit the recording studio, and today debuted 22 whole seconds of its first new song in 15 years: “Live to Rise,” a sludgy rocker that will feature in this summer’s comic book blockbuster “The Avengers.” The soundtrack arrives May 1 via iTunes.

Sounds like old Soundgarden (which is good). I’m sure based on Cornell’s past history of using hit writer’s to wright his music (Timbaland, etc) there will be plenty of radio-friendly tracks (not so good).
