As a “thank you” to fans who’ve put up with the band’s recent spate of tour cancellations, Duran Duran over the weekend posted a free download of its nine-song concert for contest winners at RDS Radio in Rome, Italy, on May 12 — one of the band’s last performances before Simon Le Bon lost his voice.
The broadcast-quality recording features four songs from current album All You Need Is Now, plus classic singles “Careless Memories,” “Save a Prayer,” “A View to a Kill,” “Notorious” and “Ordinary World.” You can stream the whole set via our SoundCloud player embedded below, as well as download the individual tracks.
Since Le Bon began suffering vocal problems last month, Duran Duran has been forced to cancel its entire U.K arena tour and, more recently, the first five dates of its European tour — plus a show in Berlin that now has been scrubbed twice. Pending a recovery from Le Bon, the band is next slated to perform Saturday in Helsinki, Finland.

This is how it is done. Dirty Vegas has a date in Atlanta, GA USA recently and abrubtly canceled w/o ANY news on their website, facebook, etc. Even the venue did not have any info. Thank God for Ticketmaster (never thought I’d say that).
