This clip’s been making the rounds in recent weeks, but after the excellent Pop Candy blog posted it yesterday, we’ve had a number of readers send us links — so we figured we’d throw it out there, too. In this late-’70s news footage from a St. Louis TV station, R.E.M.’s Michael Stipe is among the fans interviewed about the “Rocky Horror Picture Show” phenomenon — in full Frank-N-Furter regalia. Fast-forward to the 1:25 mark to see Stipe, and if you’re not quite sure it’s him, it becomes completely obvious once he opens his mouth: “This is an excellent move, it really is,” he tells the interviewer. “And we’re all quite normal.”
